A wonderful decorative, vigorous spreading perennial, with mid-green leaves. Producing cream coloured flowers in mid-summer followed by bright orange-scarley berries enclosed in papery red calyces (the chinese lantern).
Chinese Lanterns grow in any well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. They are suitable for boarders, although they can become invasive.
Cut stems can be dryed and also used in floral arrangement.
These seeds can be planted outdoors between May and July.
